The manufacturer states water resistance of 30 metres (3 ATM). Despite the figure, this means resistance to splashes and rain — washing your hands, getting caught in a shower of rain. Do not wear it in the shower, for swimming or for diving: the pressure of a jet of water and thermal shocks go well beyond what this standard covers.

A mechanical watch doesn't have the regularity of a quartz: allow a few seconds' variation per day; that's normal and isn't a defect. It dislikes violent knocks and magnets. In return, it never needs a battery.
